The Fringe Benefits of Singing: Mind, Episode 25

Today I’m going to be sharing a little more from my article, “Body, Mind, and Spirit” as it relates to your voice. Singing is just a matter of training and there are many benefits for the physical body, our mental body, and our spirit that we can achieve through singing. Studies show that singing alters brain wave patterns helping people feel more alert, improving mood, and reducing stress. In fact, for people who carry a huge academic load for example, I suggest to come home from work or school, drink water to hydrate and then do your vocal workouts, which I personalize for each individual. Drinking water will help you hydrate and after doing your vocal workout you’ll have more energy from moving air and oxygen through your body. You’ll be able to focus better and have a longer attention span when you return to your academic studies.
